“Unique interior matches perfectly with the divine dishes. We had the poached beef in chili sauce, the mapo tofu, and the salt and pepper shrimp. The poached beef was especially delicious. It has black mushrooms and bamboo shoots in a delicious pepper sauce with tender beef. The jumbo shrimp are lightly fried in batter.The interior features ancient and the modern — eclectically blending upturned eaves from a temple near the ceiling with toy cars on the bar. There’s even a bronze statue of a Chinese general from the three kingdoms era protecting the place! We will definitely come back.”

“The best Chinese food I’ve ever had; one of the best restaurants in Alexandria. We did take out, and the folks were very nice when we went to pick it up (The place looked great; would like to try eating in the restaurant next time). But the food - exceptional. Dan Dan noodles and dumplings were cry-worthy. Honestly everything was great. Going to make ordering here a regular occurrence.”

“Went with a small group and ordered family style, so got to sample a variety of dishes. Spicy sichuan-style fried chicken 辣子鸡 and stringbeans 干煸四季豆were my personal highlights. Everything was thoughtfully seasoned and well cooked. Some of the best Chinese food I've had in the states in a little while. Wait staff were friendly and service smooth. “Wow! This place was everything we were looking for: hot, fresh, delicious food; quick, kind, welcoming service; casual ambiance; reasonable prices... Both my fiance and I are excited to go back. We shared three items - pork buns, pan-fried chicken dumplings, and chonqing spicy chicken. Everything was delicious and came out of the kitchen so piping hot and fresh. The service was great - food came out quick, as it was ready. The pan-fried dumplings take a little longer, so make sure to order them early. We left very full, satisfied, and looking forward to coming back.”

The Hot Pepper Tofu Skin Stir Fry ($18.95), and Scallion Pancake with Beef ($15.95) were dishes we had before and really enjoyed. Our new dish was the House Special Noodle Soup ($16.95), with chicken, shrimp, and beef. A really wonderful meal.”

“We ordered chicken and veggie dumplings, mushroom and bok choy steamed buns and Chongqing spicy chicken. Everything was delicious: the veggie dumplings were bursting with flavor, and the chicken dumplings were generous and moist. When they say spicy, they do mean it (and it's so worth it). I have no photos for you. And when you get your order from this place, it'll smell so appetizing that you'll forget to take pictures, too.”
